Reiki is an age-old Japanese technique that is quickly gaining popularity for its ability to reduce stress, calm the mind, and relieve physical pain. Reiki is difficult to explain in words verbally or written, as Hawayo Takata, the woman that brought Reiki from Japan to the West in 1938, was known to have said, “Just do it! Do Reiki, Reiki, Reiki, and then you shall know!”
I believe in simplicity. Too often we humans equate simplicity with that of little value. Nature is a great example, although complex in design the end results appear simple. The sun rises and sets; a plant grows from a seed; a human life is conceived in a matter of seconds.
I view Reiki in the same manner. As a Reiki Master as soon as I invite the Divine Reiki Energy in it provides healing and balancing for myself or the person that is receiving Reiki. I have experienced the miracles of Reiki, and I no longer need to complicate my mind with how or why it works - it just works!
Reiki is my go to when I need healing, confidence, reassurance, or balance. It is always available. Keep in mind; there are several types of energy work available. Reiki is the one that has chosen me, and I am grateful. Stop - quiet your mind, ask your ego to step aside, and wait for guidance on what is best for your Self. You might be directed to Reiki, which is probably the case if you are reading this, or this might be an awakening that there is more to life that meets the eye.
Bring simplicity back into your life and schedule a Reiki session today, or take a Reiki class so you can call on Reiki anytime you need a boost.
If you feel guided, I am both a practitioner and teacher of Reiki, and I will be happy to share the wonderful world of Reiki with you.
How does Reiki work?
Reiki is based on the concept that we are energy (ki) and thus we can strengthen and increase our life force energy for our highest good. During a Reiki session, the practitioner channels this energy through their hands to the client. The client then processes the energy in a way that is beneficial to their mind, body, and spirit
What is a Reiki session like?
A Reiki practitioner allows the Reiki energy to flow through them, specifically through the palm of their hands. During a session, the client remains fully clothed and can lie on a massage table or sit in a chair. The practitioner places her hands on or gently above the client to transfer the energy. It is common for the client to experience heat, energy, a feeling of calmness, or nothing at all, but relaxation is usually experienced by everyone that receives Reiki.
Is it safe?
Reiki can do no harm. Reiki, spiritual in nature, is a safe and natural method to help the body clear any blocked energy or release what no longer serves the mind, body, and spirit.
